Reading - Your child needs to be reading five times a week for a sustained period of around 15 minutes. You should ask your child questions about what they have read to check understanding. Sign, date and number your child's reading record so they are eligible for the reading rewards scheme.
Maths - Your child will receive a reasoning question each week in addition to the expected use of TT Rockstars that develops vital times table knowledge.
Topic - Your child will receive topic based homework which will cover a variety of different tasks and can be presented in any format. These tasks will include music, art, research and writing.
All homework will be handed out on a Friday and needs returning by the following Thursday.
PE lessons will take place every Monday and Wednesday afternoon. Please ensure that all items of clothing, especially sweatshirts, are clearly labelled. Long hair should be tied back. Earrings should be removed, for health and safety. If your child is unable to take part in PE, please contact the school office. PE bags will be sent home every half term. Children need to have an outdoor PE kit, including trainers, available. Children will need trainers in school for the Golden Mile at all times.
